Tranqsoft does one thing: build the software that small and mid-sized businesses need to run. We are a small firm of senior systems designers, and software is all we do.
Tranquility, as a design goal
Tranqsoft is short for tranquility software. The character in our mark, 安, means peace and safety. It shows a roof over a home. That is what we are building toward with every system we ship: software so reliable that you stop thinking about it.
Good business software is boring. It does the same thing every day, it does not surprise anyone, and nobody has to babysit it.
We have spent our careers building data-driven systems, and that is what we offer. The data is the core and everything else is built around it, so your records stay clean, your reporting stays fast, and the whole thing keeps working long after launch day.
Straight answers, then exactly what was promised.
If a project is a bad fit, we will tell you. If an off-the-shelf product would cost less than custom software, we will say that too. The businesses that hire us do so because they get a direct answer, and then get what they were told they would get.
That confidence comes from breadth. Between us we have decades of experience writing business software, integrating the accounting, phone and point-of-sale systems companies already depend on, and supporting all of it in production as the IT department for businesses that do not have one.
We build on tools that have been in use for years. Your software should be predictable, documented and easy for any competent developer to maintain.
You own the source code and the data. If we ever stop working together, both hand over cleanly and documented, with nothing held back.
The people who design your system are the people who build it, host it and support it. Support requests go through a ticket so they are tracked to completion, and the person who picks it up already knows your system.

We are headquartered in Calgary and work with businesses across Southern Alberta, with deep roots in Medicine Hat. Either way, you are dealing with people who know the region, drive the same highways and understand what a local business actually looks like.
Most of our work happens over the phone and screen-share, with in-person visits when the job calls for it.
